The Hermitage in Northern Virginia Lobby
Robert E. Beach Architects is currently developing a plan for the phased renovation of this continuing care community’s lobby and the surrounding spaces. Renovations are being coordinated with ongoing hazardous material abatement which will be completed in each space before remodeling. Planned new amenities will include a bistro, a library, and a chapel.
The Rotonda Condominium Metro Access Gate
This five building, 1,138 unit condominium community is located in the middle of Tyson’s Corner Virginia, a major shopping and business district in Northern Virginia. New development in the area prompted the condominium association into upgrading site and security features in response to the anticipated changes in pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the future. Much of the planned development surrounding the property is related to the construction of a new Metrorail station connecting Tyson’s Corner to Washington, DC and Dulles International Airport which is located two blocks from the site’s main entrance. The project’s goal is to enhance the sites connection to the station with the use of new landscaped pedestrian entrance with controlled access.
