Firm History
Robert E. Beach Architects, LLC, established in 1989, is a personalized full-service architectural firm committed to professional, high quality design. The firm specializes in commercial and residential architecture, redevelopment strategies, and historic preservation, all with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. We have over 25 years of experience working with municipalities, private clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the region.
We measure our success through the satisfaction of our clients and the success of our projects. Our philosophy is that the best project approach develops from clear communication and collaboration between the architect and client. You are a part of the team. Through this strong relationship we can discover the project goals, constraints, and operational requirements unique to your project. This approach allows us to thoroughly define the project scope and provide the realistic cost estimates and detailed construction documents that result in a predictable and deliberate construction process.
Where We Work
Robert E. Beach Architects, LLC, is licensed to practice architecture in states throughout the mid-Atlantic and beyond including: Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Florida.
Firm professionals also hold NCARB certificates which simplifies the process of gaining licensure in other states if your project is located outside of our current registration areas.
Professional Project Management
Robert E. Beach Architects, LLC offers a team led by experienced project managers, and supported by staff and consultants that have common project collaboration experience. A project manager is used on every project to ensure consistent coordination of all disciplines at every stage of development. The project manager will direct the design process and monitor quality so that your project is completed in an efficient manner, within the specified schedule and budget. He or she is an active participant throughout the process facilitating the coordination between all team members, the client, and end users.
Quality Management
We employ a quality management plan throughout the design and construction phases of every project. Quality reviews are performed as an integrated part the design process by senior members of the project team, independent peer reviewers, and our in-house certified plans examiner. Our goal is to provide our clients with thorough and technically sound project documentation to limit surprises during construction.
Sustainable Design
We view sustainability as a responsibility to our clients and the communities in which we live and work. Over 85% of our staff are LEED™ Accredited Professionals and the firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. From the earliest stages of design, we analyze the feasibility of green building strategies to determine those best suited to a specific project. Cost estimating tools can then be used to review different approaches to identify elements that can provide the greatest return on investment.
